Analysis of indie-pop images-Colette

I have analysed the images of 4 bands, and how they tie in with the typical conventions we would relate with the genre of the bands. I have chosen 4 indie bands as this is the genre of the music we have chosen to do for our own music video. However they are all slightly different forms of the genres (sub-genres) so tend to have slightly different images. I have discussed mainly the representations and ideologies of these bands and how these are shown by the media language.
The first band I have looked at is The Vaccines, they are quite a new indie band in the media but have a slightly different representation in comparison to others. Their video Norgaard |(below) I felt summed up the representation and ideologies that I have discussed in the slideshow.

I have also chosen a band that isn't of the indie genre just to show how representations and ideologies can be can be completely different between different genres. The band I have chosen is Mumford and Sons, they're genre is folk music which isn;t usually known to be so popular in the charts but Mumford and Sons have recently become very well known in the media and have even started to emerge in the charts at high posi1tions. Here is one of their videos 'Winter winds' The representations and ideologies shown in this media via the media language is very typical for that of  a traditional English folk band.
